University College “CEPS – Centre for Business Studies” Kiseljak has successfully entered the second year of implementation of the three-year Erasmus+ project CORE-ED Academy – “Transformative Educational Strategies: Fostering Inclusion and Shared Values in Juvenile Justice.” During the first year of implementation, CEPS, together with its partner institutions, carried out a range of research, development, consultation, and dissemination activities aimed at improving education and professional training in the fields of correctional pedagogy, juvenile justice, and work with juveniles within the justice and social protection systems.

Within Work Package 3 (WP3), CEPS continued activities focused on the validation and adaptation of occupational profiles in the field of juvenile justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During a validation webinar attended by representatives of relevant sectors, educational institutions, and the professional community, five occupational profiles were presented and concrete recommendations for their improvement were collected. This was followed by a national stakeholder workshop held in Kiseljak, bringing together external representatives of relevant institutions and sectors, with the active participation of CEPS representatives. Through detailed analysis and constructive discussion, the profiles were adapted to the national context, institutional needs, and professional practice. This successfully completed the national validation process and established a foundation for the further application and development of educational and professional training programmes in the field of juvenile justice. At the same time, the project team continued implementing other activities foreseen under this work package and strengthening cooperation with partner institutions.

A particularly important contribution was made through the successful implementation of Work Package 4 (WP4), focused on the development of competency-based curricula, training programmes, and modern learning approaches. Within this work package, modular educational content, e-learning approaches, knowledge assessment systems, and practical and work-based learning models were developed, with CEPS actively contributing to the development of teaching content and methodology, as well as quality assurance activities. These efforts further strengthened capacities for developing modern and practice-oriented educational programmes in the field of juvenile justice.

Throughout the implementation period, CEPS placed particular emphasis on the promotion, dissemination, and visibility of the project. CORE-ED Academy was presented during the CEPS Info Day in October 2025, attended by more than 400 participants, as well as at the national Erasmus+ Info Day, where the CEPS project team, together with colleagues from IUS, presented the project’s objectives, activities, and expected results. In parallel, regular online consortium meetings were held, ensuring continuous coordination and the exchange of experiences among partner institutions. As the project enters its second year of implementation, the focus is shifting towards the further application of the results achieved, continued cooperation with relevant stakeholders, and the development of sustainable, digital, and practice-oriented learning models aligned with European standards and the needs of the professional environment.
