At the Knowledge Hub for Climate and Sustainability, established through the Erasmus+ project 1FUTURE, University College "CEPS – Center for Business Studies" Kiseljak successfully conducts educational workshops in collaboration with the civic association "Victoria" and the youth association "Efekt" from Kiseljak. These activities aim to introduce the 1FUTURE project and its objectives to the wider community while providing access to the Hub for further learning and research.
One of the key activities was the workshop "Traffic Culture: Technical Engagement of Youth in Safe Mobility," organized by the youth association "Efekt" from Kiseljak. The workshop was led by Doc. Dr. Nermin Palić , Professor of Transport Engineering, with the participation of 24 attendees. Participants had the opportunity to learn about safe movement in traffic, traffic rules, and proper handling of electric bicycles. The practical training allowed them to apply their theoretical knowledge in simulated real-life scenarios.
Additionally, the "TehnoKultura" workshop was conducted, organized by the civic association "Victoria" Kiseljak, focusing on the development of IT and technical literacy. Through a series of lectures and hands-on sessions, participants gained skills in using software such as AutoCAD, Google Earth, SoundPLAN, and Excel in technical sciences. These activities not only enhanced the technical abilities of young people but also motivated them for further education and research.
Hosting these workshops at the Knowledge Hub for Climate and Sustainability further strengthens the connection between the academic community and the local population, raising awareness of sustainable development and traffic safety. Similar educational programs are planned to continue, providing young people with access to resources for lifelong learning and professional growth.
